SUNNYVALE RAIDERS YOUTH CHEER

The goal of SRYSA Cheer is to build character, confidence, a strong sense of self, and athletic skill that will be useful across all sports
 

Registration is Closed for the 2022 season!

 

Registration

  • Open to incoming K – 6th graders who reside in Sunnyvale or attend Sunnyvale schools

  • New Cheerleader $250:  Includes SRYSA registration fee, cheer uniform, bloomers, practice uniform, warm-up suit, two bows, pom poms

  • Returning Cheerleader $175: Includes SRYSA registration fee, practice uniform, warm-up suit, two bows and pom poms

       ****returning cheerleaders purchasing a new uniform will register as a NEW cheerleader****

  • Parent will provide solid white cheer shoes and white no show socks

Uniform Fitting

  • May 14th in SES gym

  • All New cheerleaders 9am - 11am

  • All returning cheerleaders 11am – 1pm

      ****returning cheerleaders purchasing a new top/skirt will attend the first fitting****

      ****please wear sports bra/shorts or swimsuit to fittings****

 

Practice Days

  • All squads will practice on Tuesdays as well as an additional day set by each coach and will be communicated prior to beginning of the season

 

Season Schedule

  • July 30th: SRYSA Cheer stunt clinic

  • August TBD: SISD Cheer camp

  • August TBD: Cheer pictures 

  • August TBD: SRYSA Cheer/Football Season kick-off event

  • 8/27- 10/22: Regular Season (no game labor day weekend)

  • September TBD: Homecoming Parade 

  • 10/29/22: Playoff game

  • 11/05/22: Playoff game

  • 11/19/22: Super Bowl (Kaufman)

 

Game Locations

  • As part of Premier Lakes Sports League our games will take place in Sunnyvale, Caddo Mills, Forney, Royse City, Rowlett, Nevada, Greenville, Kaufman, and Rockwall

 

Gate Fees/Home game volunteers

  • Gate Fees for all games $5 adults/$3 children

  • Parent volunteers will be needed to run the gate, concession stands and clean up at all home games

 

Competition

  • Competition will be a separate fee

  • Additional practices will be held for competition teams

  • An information meeting will be held in May

Athlete/Parent Expectations

  • Athletes will be required to attend and be on time to all practices set by the coach

  • Parents are required to notify the coach of an athlete absence as early as possible

  • Due to safety of the team, if an athlete is absent, they may not be able to perform at halftime that week. This decision will be on a case-by-case basis and determined by the coach
